Welcome!
Thank you for your interest in my studio.
Study at the Phillips Studio yields tremendous benefits but it comes with significant and unique responsibilities.
It’s like sitting in the airplane exit row. If you feel you cannot perform the duties required of you, please inform a crew member before take-off. 🙂
This information will get you started. After reading, please contact me. Let’s talk about how you can give your child this transformative gift.

1. Phone Interview
This conversation helps us get acquainted and determine if our goals are a match.
2. Observation of Lessons
Please contact me to arrange to observe one or more lessons of current students of similar age to your student.
3. Interview and Sample Lesson
For young beginners, I test their readiness and give them a brief sample lesson. For students who already play, I assess their skills and work briefly with them.
This meeting gives you opportunity to ask me questions and to observe how I would work with your student. I’ll have some questions for you as well. There is no charge for this meeting.
4. Acquaint Yourself with the Studio
Read the Business Policies, Studio FAQs, and 100 Non-Musical Benefits of Learning to Play an Instrument.
